How to install and update PrestaHero's modules?

Thanks for downloading/purchasing our PrestaShop modules!

In this article, we will show you detailed and specific ways to help you easily install and upgrade the latest versions of our modules!

First, if you have not had a PrestaHero account, you need to create one and confirm it via email. You can then purchase paid modules or download any free modules you want!

There are 2 ways to install PrestaHero’s modules:

1. Using PrestaHero Connect module:

PrestaHero Connect - a free module that helps connect your store to PrestaHero, you can directly manage, install and upgrade all modules from your store's back office (including your purchased modules, free modules and other available modules from PrestaHero).

We recommend you use the PrestaHero Connect module to download and install our PrestaShop modules because it is simple and extremely handy. You can also easily manage and upgrade modules when the latest version is available. If you don't install PrestaHero Connect, you won't be able to upgrade the modules.

1.1. First, you need to download and install the PrestaHero Connect module.

• Go to our website and find “PrestaHero Connect” module or click here

• Click on the “Free download” button to download the module.

• In your PrestaShop back office, go to “Modules > Module Catalog” and click on the “Upload a module” button.

• Click “Select file” and upload the prestaheroconnect.zip file that you have downloaded from the PrestaHero website, then the module will be installed automatically right after that.

• Click the “Configure” button to open the module configuration page and start using the module and you’ve done!

1.2. Connect your website with PrestaHero site

• Click “Connect to PrestaHero now!”

• Enter your PrestaHero account and click “Connect”

1.3. Install and upgrade PrestaHero’s modules

After the connection is finished, all PrestaHero’s modules will be listed on the “All modules” tab.

• To filter the modules you’ve purchased, click on the "Purchased" tab. To filter the free modules, click on the “Free” tab. Or you can also find the module you want to install in the tab "All modules".

• Click on the "Install from PrestaHero" button of the module you want to install and you’ve done.

Besides, you also can upgrade the module you installed when the new version is available:

• Click on the “To upgrade” tab. All the modules that have a new version will be shown here.

• Click on the “Upgrade” button of the module you want to upgrade.

2. Install/download directly from PrestaHero website:

Alternatively, you can also install or download the module directly from the PrestaHero website.

• To the premium/paid module, after successful payment confirmation, an email will be sent to you with a download link. Click on that link to download the installation file. To free modules, Click on the “Free download” button on the product page to download the installation file.

• Follow the same installation steps as when installing the PrestaHero Connect module above.

• Click the “Configure” button to open the module configuration page and start using the module and you’ve done! So easy, right?

NOTE: Every time there is a new version of a module that you have installed, there will be a notification on the PrestaHero Connect module. You can easily upgrade to the latest version. If you don't install PrestaHero Connect, you won't be able to upgrade the modules. That's the reason why we recommend you use PrestaHero Connect!
