Getting Started with Promotion PRO - General Settings
After successfully installing the Promotion PRO module, the first step is to configure the general settings. These settings will help you define how discounts and promotions are applied in your store. Follow these steps to get started:
Step 1: Accessing general settings
From your PrestaShop admin panel, navigate to the module configuration page. Select Settings >> General settings page.
Step 2: Configuring order status for total order amount calculation
In the general settings, you can specify which order statuses should be considered when calculating the total order amount. This ensures that discounts and promotions are applied based on the correct order statuses.
Select/Unselect all to easily manage your choices:
- Awaiting bank wire payment
- Awaiting Cash On Delivery validation
- Awaiting check payment
- Canceled
- Delivered
- On backorder (not paid)
- On backorder (paid)
- Payment accepted
- Payment error
- Processing in progress
- Refunded
- Remote payment accepted
- Shipped
Step 3: Auto-clear expired discount codes
Enable this setting to automatically clear expired discount codes. This helps keep your promotions up to date and ensures that customers are not trying to use expired codes.
Note: Make sure cronjob is already configured on the server to clear expired discount codes automatically.
Step 4: Auto clear used discount codes
Enable this setting to automatically clear discount codes once they have been used. This prevents reuse and helps maintain the integrity of your promotions.

Step 5: Save your configuration
After configuring the settings as per your requirements, don’t forget to save your changes.
