How Does the Referral Program Work?

The Referral Program allows sponsors to refer friends to your PrestaShop store and earn rewards for successful referrals. This guide explains how sponsors can refer friends, earn rewards, and manage referral activities.

How sponsors can refer friends

Go to "My account" > "Referral program". In the "How to refer friends" tab, sponsors will see information and methods for referring friends:

• Share sponsor information: Sponsors can share their unique referral link or QR code with friends by copying the link, sharing it on Facebook or Twitter, or embedding a banner anywhere. Friends who click the links or the banner will be directed to the homepage.
• Share sponsor code with friends: Sponsors can share their referral code with friends. When friends use this code to place an order, they will receive a discount, and the sponsor will earn a commission on their friends' orders.
• Send invitation email to friends: Sponsors can enter their friends' names and email addresses and click the "send invitation" button. The sponsor will earn a reward when their friends visit the website through the email link and complete an order.

How sponsors earn rewards in the referral program

After sharing the Referral program with friends, depending on the configuration set by the website owner, sponsors can earn rewards in the following scenarios:

• When referred friends create an account: If the website owner enables the option "Give reward to sponsor when their friends register a new account", sponsors earn a reward when their friends create an account.
• When referred friends make a purchase: If the website owner enables the option "Give reward to sponsor when their friend purchases products? (Multi-level marketing)," sponsors earn a reward when their friends make a purchase.
• When referred friends invite more friends (Multi-level marketing): The sponsor and the initially referred friend earn rewards when the referred friend invites more friends who make purchases.

Where sponsors can manage referral information

• Go to "My account" > "Referral program".
• In the "How to refer friends" tab, sponsors can view information and methods for referring friends.
• In the "My friends" tab, sponsors can view and manage the list of invited friends and the rewards earned from each friend if they have made a purchase.
