Can Customers Manually Change Their Location in the Geolocation Module?
Yes! The Geolocation module allows customers to manually change their location at any time. This ensures they can view the store in their preferred language, currency, and correct tax & shipping costs based on the country they select.

How to enable the manual location switching option
By default, the module detects customer locations automatically. However, you can allow customers to manually change their location by enabling the location switching button.
- Log in to your PrestaShop Back Office.
- Go to Modules Manager > Find the Geolocation module.
- Click Configure to access the module settings.
- In the Settings tab, find the option: "Enable location switching option?"
- Set this option to YES.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
How customers can manually change their location
Once enabled, customers will have the option to switch their location manually through the website interface.
Step 1: Click on the location switching button
- Customers will see a location switching button in the website header.
- Clicking this button will open a popup window.
Step 2: Select a new country
In the popup, customers can choose their preferred country from the available list.
Step 3: Apply the new location settings
- After selecting a country, they need to click "Apply".
- The store will automatically update the: Language, currency, tax rates, and shipping costs.
