How to Connect Your Instagram Account with Your PrestaShop Store
The INS Shopping Slider module allows you to integrate your Instagram account with your PrestaShop store seamlessly. By displaying your Instagram photos and videos on your online store, you can attract more visitors and convert them into customers. Follow these steps to connect your Instagram account to your PrestaShop store.
Step-by-Step Guide to Link Your Instagram Account
Step 1: Open the module configuration page
- Navigate to the back office of your PrestaShop store.
- Go to the module configuration page by selecting "Modules > Module Manager".
- Find the “INS Shopping Slider” module and click “Configure”.
Step 2: Access the "Instagram Account" tab
- Click on "Instagram Account" in the main menu of the module.
Step 3: Enter the required information
- Obtain your Client ID, Client Secret, and Instagram Access Token through the Instagram API.
- Enter the Client ID and Client Secret to the respective fields.
- Enter the token into the "Access Token" field.

Step 4: Fill in your Instagram display name and profile URL
- Enter your Instagram display name in the appropriate field.
- Enter your Instagram profile URL in the corresponding field.
Step 5: Save your settings
- Click the "Save" button to finalize the connection.
Understanding Access Token Validity
Instagram's long-lived access tokens are valid for 60 days and can be refreshed as long as they are at least 24 hours old but have not yet expired. To ensure your website operates smoothly, it is recommended to set up a cronjob to automatically refresh the token.

- Navigate to the module configuration page as previously described.
- Click on "Settings" in the module's main menu.
- Click on the "Cronjob" tab and read the instructions carefully.
Set up a cronjob
- To automate the process of refreshing the access token, you need to set up a cronjob on your server.
- How to set up a cronjob varies depending on your server. You can also contact your hosting provider for support.
- Set up the command provided by INS Shopping Slider module on your server to run at the desired frequency:
