How to Filter and Select Products for Bulk Editing in PrestaShop
The Product Manager module provides powerful filtering options that allow you to precisely locate the products you want to edit. This guide will walk you through how to use these features effectively.
Using product filter and search conditions
The Product Manager module includes an advanced product filter that allows you to narrow down your product list based on various search conditions. You can also combine multiple conditions using AND/OR logic to create precise filters.

Steps to filter and select products for editing
Step 1: Access the Mass Edit page
Log into your PrestaShop back office.
Option 1:
- Navigate to the Product Manager module.
- Click on the “Mass Edit” link to open the product listing page.
Option 2:
Navigate to “Catalog > Mass Edit” page.
Step 2: Product filtering
Click on the “Add condition” button to set up your product filters.
You can filter products based on multiple conditions, including:
- Product name → Filter products by name.
- Reference code (Ref) → Search for products using their reference codes.
- Category → Select products from specific categories.
- Price → Filter products within a certain price range.
- Quantity → Find products based on their stock levels.
- Attributes → Filter by specific product attributes (e.g., size, color).
- Tags → Filter products based on assigned tags.
Combine multiple conditions using AND/OR logic to refine your search further.
Once you have set the conditions, click “Next” to proceed to the editing step.
Step 3: Select edit action
Choose the type of product information you want to edit, including:
- Basic info → Product name, images, reference code, category, etc.
- Quantity & pricing → Stock levels, price adjustments, etc.
- SEO information → Meta titles, descriptions, URLs, etc.
- Shipping details → Weight, dimensions, carriers, etc.
- Additional info → Tags, condition, attached files, etc.
Select the appropriate action for the selected information:
- Turn On/Off → Enable or disable a product.
- Append (Text) → Add text to existing fields.
- Replace → Overwrite the current information.
- Add/Subtract Amount → Modify prices or stock levels.
The Product Manager module also allows you to edit product information in multiple languages.
Click “Next” to proceed.
Step 4: Preview your edits
Review all the product information fields that are about to be edited.
If you need to make changes, click “Back” to adjust your settings.
If everything is correct, click “Edit Now” to start the bulk editing process.
Step 5: Finish and review edit logs
Once the mass editing process is complete, you can:
- View the edit log to track changes.
- Start a new mass edit process if needed.
- Click “View Edit Log” to open the mass edit log and review the modifications.
