How to Set Up the Affiliate Program

Setting up an effective Affiliate Program can significantly boost your sales by harnessing the power of word-of-mouth marketing. This guide will walk you through configuring all the settings for the affiliate program using a fashion store, "Camellia Studio" and a customer named Marie as examples.

Navigate to the module settings:

  • Go to the back office of your PrestaShop store. Open the module configuration page.
  • Navigate to "Marketing programs > Affiliate program".

This section consists of several tabs: Conditions, Reward settings, Voucher, and Messages.

2. Reward Settings

This tab defines how affiliates are rewarded when they successfully refer customers.

  • Give reward if customer buys other affiliate products after viewing a directly referred product: Enable this to reward affiliates for additional purchases.

Example: If Marie's friend buys a dress after viewing a referred product, Marie still earns her commission.

  • How to calculate reward when affiliate successfully sells an affiliate product: Choose between a percentage of the product price, a fixed amount per product, or no reward.

  • Exclude taxes before calculating reward: Decide whether to exclude taxes when calculating the reward.

Example: If Marie refers to a product priced at $100 with $10 tax, her commission is calculated on the $100 only.

  • Multiply reward value by the number of products: Set to “Yes” if you want the reward to be multiplied by the quantity sold.

Example: If Marie's referral buys 3 dresses, her reward is tripled.

  • Allow sellers to get reward when they purchase an affiliate product using their affiliate link: Enable this to let affiliates earn rewards on their purchases.

Example: Marie can earn commissions by buying products through her link.
