Lazy Load is a technique used to improve the loading speed of web pages by deferring the loading of non-essential images until they are needed. Instead of loading all images when a user first accesses a webpage, Lazy Load ensures that images are only loaded when they are about to be viewed. How to configure Lazy Load
To make use of the Lazy Load feature in the Image Optimization module, follow these steps:
Step 1: Enable Lazy Load
- Go to the "Lazy Load" tab in the Image Optimization module.
- Toggle the "Enable Lazy Load" option to "Yes".
Step 2: Select the preloading image
- Choose a preloading image from the available types. The preloading image serves as a placeholder while the actual image loads.
- Options include 5 types of preloading images to suit your website's aesthetic and functionality.
Step 3: Enable Lazy Load for specific image types
Select the image type(s) to apply Lazy Load:
- All image types
- Product listing
- Home slider
- Home banner
