How Can Sponsors Generate Their Own Discount Codes?
Allowing sponsors to generate and share their discount codes can enhance the effectiveness of your Referral Program by empowering sponsors to directly engage their friends. This guide will show you how to configure the settings so that sponsors can generate and share their voucher codes.
Enable sponsors to generate their voucher codes
- Go to the "Referral / Sponsorship Program" settings in your PrestaShop admin panel.
- Scroll down to the "Sponsor's voucher code" section.
- Enable the option "Allow sponsors to generate their voucher code?" (This setting allows sponsors to create their voucher code in the front office to send to their friends. When friends use the voucher code, they receive a discount, and sponsors earn a commission).

Generating a voucher code in the front office
- In the front office, Go to “My account > Referral program”, under the "Sponsor voucher code" section, sponsors will see a button labeled "GET MY VOUCHER CODE".
- Sponsors simply need to click this button, and the module will automatically generate a unique voucher code for them.
- Now they can send this code to their friends.

- Sponsor action: A sponsor named Alice logs into her account on your PrestaShop store. She navigates to the "Sponsor voucher code" section and clicks "GET MY VOUCHER CODE."
- Outcome: The system generates a unique code, e.g., "SPCODE_MKGAN," which Alice can then share with her friends.
- Friend's benefit: Alice's friend Bob uses the code "SPCODE_MKGAN" during checkout and receives a 10% discount on his order.
- Sponsor's reward: Alice earns a commission for Bob's purchase, as per the referral program's rules.
