Trustpilot, like many other independent review websites, is a valuable tool for customers. To decide whether they should proceed with their purchase, customers might look for customer reviews of the items, services, or companies they are considering.
We'll examine Trustpilot in-depth in this blog post and determine whether or not its customer reviews are reliable. Along with that, I'll give you instructions on how to integrate this service into your PrestaShop website.
Trustpilot is a digital platform founded in 2007. Customers can give feedback on a company after making a purchase, using a service, or getting in touch with customer support. Customers write about their experiences with the company and give the company a star rating (from one to five).
Feedback is a method for customers to measure the reputation of a given company and for businesses to learn more about how customers perceive a certain company.
As of December 31, 2020, Trustpilot had more than 120 million reviews from more than 529,000 businesses, making it one of the biggest online review sites in the world.
Any customer with a Trustpilot profile has the ability to leave a star rating for businesses they have made a purchase from or received assistance from. Trustpilot uses each of these ratings to create a TrustScore, which ranges from 1 to 5. A 5 means a "great" experience, while a 1 means a "poor" one.
The TrustScore isn't just an average of all existing reviews for the company, though. What influences the platform's algorithm is:
Customers can provide comments regarding their interactions with the business in addition to giving it a star rating. These comments can relate to anything from the company's product quality to order fulfillment or customer service.
Before making a purchase, customers frequently explore products on independent review websites. In fact, 91% of consumers claim that reading a favorable review will increase their likelihood of making a purchase. Therefore, increasing the number of brand reviews (especially positive ones) could raise your sales.
This is simple with Trustpilot. You can start asking clients for feedback once you set up a business account. You can even choose to automate this procedure so that when clients finish their purchases, an email invitation is sent to them. This is a quick and effective strategy to expand your business.
Responding to unfavorable Trustpilot reviews is also a good idea. When doing so, do not, however, accuse or blame the customer. Instead, adopt a sympathetic and contrite tone. If you take responsibility for a bad experience and make an effort to make it right, customers will acknowledge your honesty and will be more tolerant of negative reviews.
Last but not least, you might want to integrate Trustpilot reviews into your PrestaShop website. This serves as social proof to show that your company is legitimate. Visitors will probably feel more at ease about making a purchase from you after they see that others have done it successfully.
