How to Restrict Access to Your Website to Wholesale Customers Only

To create a private shopping experience where only registered and approved wholesale customers can access and purchase products, you can use the "Private Shop" mode in the Wholesale B2B module. The "Private shop" mode in the Wholesale B2B module allows you to control who can access and purchase from your PrestaShop store. You can set the entire store to private or disable the shopping feature for non-wholesale customers while still allowing them to browse the products. Here's how you can configure it:

To set up the private shop mode, follow these steps:

Step 1: Enable private shop

• Navigate to your PrestaShop admin panel.
• Go to Modules > Module Manager > Wholesale B2B > Configure.
• Navigate to “Settings > Private shop”
• Set “Enable private shop” option to Yes.

Step 2: Only allow approved wholesale customers to access shop

Ensure that only approved wholesale customers can access the shop by setting this option to Yes.

Step 3: Private mode

• Entire shop: Select this option to hide the entire store from non-wholesale customers. Only approved wholesale customers can log in and access the store.
• Disable shopping only: Choose this option to allow visitors to browse products but disable the shopping feature for non-wholesale customers. This means they can see the products but cannot add items to their cart or make purchases.

Step 4: Customize appearance

• Logo: Upload a custom logo for your private shop login page. Accepted formats are jpg, png, jpeg, and webp.
• Background image: Upload a background image for your login page. Accepted formats are jpg, png, jpeg, and webp.
• Background color: Choose a background color for your login page to match your branding.

Step 5: Enable reCaptcha for the wholesale registration form

Set this option to Yes to enable reCaptcha on the wholesale registration form, helping to prevent spam and automated registrations.

With the private shop mode enabled, only customers who register and are approved as wholesale customers can access your website and make purchases. Here’s how it works:

• When a new customer tries to access your store, they will see a login page where they can either log in or register as a wholesale customer.
• After registering, their account needs to be approved by the admin before they can access the shop and start purchasing products.
