Step 1: Setting Up General Settings for the Wholesale B2B Module
The Wholesale B2B module transforms your PrestaShop store into a professional B2B wholesale platform. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up the general settings to get you started.
Accessing General Settings
Navigate to module settings:
- From your PrestaShop admin panel, go to Module > Module Manager
- Locate the Wholesale B2B module and click on “Configure”
Open general settings:
- In the module configuration page, click on “Settings > General”
General Settings Overview
The General settings page includes four main tabs: Conditions, Registration, Email, and Cronjob. We'll go through each tab and explain the options available.
1. Conditions
- Enable wholesale system: Toggle to activate or deactivate the wholesale system.
- Default wholesale level: Set the default wholesale level for new wholesale customers.
- Enable quick order table: Allow wholesale customers to use a quick order table.
- Default quantity on quick order table: Define the default quantity for products in the quick order table.
- Display stock number: Choose whether to show the stock number to wholesale customers.
- Minimum product quantity to get wholesale discount: Set the minimum product quantity for discounts based on:
- Particular quantity of each product combination
- Gross quantity from all combinations
2. Registration
- Require customers to submit application: Decide if customers need to apply to become wholesale customers.
- Registration form: Set up the registration form fields. Click “Add new field” to create additional fields as needed.
- Require customers to submit additional information: Determine if customers must provide extra information beyond the registration form.
3. Email
The Email tab allows you to manage notifications and communications related to your wholesale operations. Configure email settings to keep your wholesale customers and administrative team informed about important events and actions within your store.
Step 1: enter email addresses separated by commas to receive notification messages for events like "New reward created" or "Withdrawal request approved".
Step 2: enable/disable the following options to set up email sending to admins and customers:
- Send email to admin when customer submits an application to become a wholesale customer
- Send email to admin when customer submits additional information
- Send email to customers when their application is approved or declined
- Send email to customer when their application is submitted
- Send email to wholesale customers when their account is disabled
- Send email to admin when a reward is created for wholesale customer
- Send email to wholesale customers when a reward is created for them
- Send email to admin when a reward is validated or canceled
- Send email to wholesale customer when a reward is validated or canceled
- Send email to admin when a withdrawal request is submitted
- Send email to admin when a withdrawal request is approved or declined
- Send email to wholesale customers when their withdrawal is approved or declined
- Send email to wholesale customers when their account changes wholesale level
4. Cronjob
To automate the process of changing the level of wholesale customers and update reward status, you need to set up a cronjob on your server:
Step 1: Navigate to the cronjob setup page:
- Go to the "Cronjob" tab in “General settings”
- Follow the instructions provided on this tab.
Step 2: Configure the Cronjob:
Copy the command provided by Wholesale B2B module, for example:
* * * * * /usr/bin/php /home/yourdomain.com/modules/ets_wholesale/cronjob.php secure=PHGX3C9Af9Ip
Set up this command on your server to run at the desired frequency. This command will automatically change the level of wholesale customers and update the reward status.
